FortiDev (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect through fortidev.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, the subject and your message.
- Event registration: your name, email address, your answers to the event’s questions, and which link you came from (for example a Facebook or LinkedIn post).
- Job applications: your name, email address, mobile number, LinkedIn profile if you add it, your answers to the application questions, your CV and your cover letter if you send one.
- Job and event alerts: your email address, the language you signed up in, and which alerts you chose.
- Emails and calls: whatever you choose to share when you email or call us.
- Technical data: to keep the site secure and protect the form from spam, our hosting and security providers process limited technical data such as your IP address and browser type.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run analytics that build a profile of you.
Why we use it
We use your data only to:
- reply to your message and discuss the services you asked about;
- register you for events, send you the confirmation and joining details, and contact you about that event;
- review your job application, contact you about it, and keep your CV for future openings if you sent it through the general form;
- email you about new jobs or events, only if you subscribed and confirmed by clicking the link we sent;
- prepare proposals and, if we work together, manage our business relationship;
- keep the website secure and block spam and abuse.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you ask us to keep you informed.
Who processes it for us

Cloudflare hosts the website and provides the Turnstile spam check on the contact form.

Microsoft 365 delivers and stores the emails sent through our forms.

Cloudflare D1 stores event registrations, job applications and alert subscriptions.

Microsoft SharePoint (Microsoft 365) stores the CVs and cover letters you upload, and a weekly backup of event registrations, job applications and alert subscriptions. Access is limited to the people who handle hiring at FortiDev.

YouTube (Google) hosts our event recordings. The player loads only when you press play, from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced (no-cookie) domain; before that we only show the video’s preview image.
These providers act on our instructions and may process data on servers outside Egypt, with safeguards that protect it. We share data with anyone else only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep messages for as long as we need them to handle your request and any business that follows, and then delete them. Job applications, including CVs and cover letters, are deleted automatically 12 months after you send them, or sooner if you ask us. Alert subscriptions last until you unsubscribe with the link in any alert email; sign-ups that are never confirmed are deleted after 7 days.
Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Law you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct or update it;
- delete it, or stop using it;
- withdraw any consent you gave.

Security
We use HTTPS across the whole site, spam protection on the form, and access controls on our email accounts. No online service is completely risk-free, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the “Last updated” date above.
